Village Fete and Worm Charming

14 July 2013

In the last few weeks the group have attended the Worm Charming at Willaston School and the Village Fete on the Lettie Spencer Playing Fields.

A huge thank you to all of the Scouts who ran the Blind Trail at the Worm Charming and congratulations to those who were on Blue Peter.  Unfortunately I couldn’t attend but it appeared that everyone had a great day.

We had our mini camp at the Village Fete and attracted a few non-scouts to try cooking and eating bread twists.  We successfully defended our Tug of War title against the rest of the village, even getting the District Commissioner to help us out.

The summer term is drawing to a close but we still have some activities planned across the sections.  The weather so far this summer has been very good to us, I hope it remains so for all of your summer holidays as your Leaders deserve a pleasant break.
