Our Monday cubs learned about the festival of Diwali as part of their Our World Challenge. As part of the celebration, they had a go at traditional Indian dancing.

Willaston Scouts’ dementia-friendly sensory garden was formally opened this afternoon.
At the start of 2016, as part of A Million Hands, our beavers, cubs and scouts chose to support Alzheimer’s Society by creating a sensory garden in the grounds of our scout HQ. Over the last two years, each section has contributed to the development of this tranquil space, preparing the ground, erecting and painting fences (and a shed), planting, laying a pathway, weeding and watering.

Our Monday  16th April our Cubs had a fantastic visit to Pets at Home in Crewe.
During the meeting they learnt  the basics on how to care for rabbits and guinea pigs. What food to feed them and which cages and runs they needed, as well as  the life span for each of the animals.
We’d like to say thank you to the team from Pets at Home for having us for the evening, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit with you.

To support Nantwich Foodbank’s latest appeal, our cubs donated a variety of food items to go into “kindness packages.”
We recently received this letter of thanks from the foodbank.

BREAKING NEWS!
Our cubs have found the Loch Ness Monster. Well, perhaps not, but they have made some fine looking bagel monsters, with cream cheese and veggies for healthy eating week.

The Chief Scout’s Bronze Award is the highest award a Beaver scout can achieve. Over two years, Beavers have to complete all six Challenge Awards as well as at least four activity badges.
This year, 120 Beavers achieved this award in South West Cheshire. Here are five from 26th who received their certificates this evening.
