Once again, a team of scouts from Willaston took part in the ShelterBox Scavenger Hunt in Liverpool.

The Chief Scout’s Bronze Award is the highest award a Beaver scout can achieve. Over two years, Beavers have to complete all six Challenge Awards as well as at least four activity badges.
This year, 120 Beavers achieved this award in South West Cheshire. Here are five from 26th who received their certificates this evening.

The weekend of 2-3 April saw the 50th running of the Cheshire Hike. Over the course of two days, scouts and guides from across Cheshire undertook a demanding expedition, with checkpoints and challenges along the way.
Along with scouts from neighbouring groups, we entered four teams – one in each section.

The Chieshire Hike is an annual event for scouts and explorer scouts and is a gruelling, two day expedition in the Cheshire countryside. This year saw two of our scouts competing in the Intermediate section.
Felix and Joe set off early on Saturday morning from Bickerton. After unpacking their kit for an inspection and weigh in, they had five minutes to plot the first part of their route before embarking on the first day’s trek. Checkpoints, challenges and observation tasks awaited, before a well-earne overnight stop.

Congratulations to our Scout team in the recent Lord Derby county eliminator, which took place at Forest Camp near Cuddington a few weeks ago. The team completed a number of challenges based on the Chief Scouts Gold Award Challenge Awards, which tested their initiative, teamwork and leadership. The team performed brilliantly, with each team member taking on the role of Patrol Leader for the different challenges.
