We would like to congratulate our Cheshire Hikers this year, who completed the challenge this weekend just gone.
Gladys, Bertie, James, Seth, Issac, Nathan, Ryan, Greta and Roxanne all successfully navigated their way in teams of two across Cheshire, carrying  everything that they needed for a two day expedition. It is a fantastic achievement (second time for Gladys and Nathan!) and we all feel a huge pride in them – all that training paid off! The weekend of 2-3 April saw the 50th running of the Cheshire Hike. Over the course of two days, scouts and guides from across Cheshire undertook a demanding expedition, with checkpoints and challenges along the way.
Along with scouts from neighbouring groups, we entered four teams – one in each section.
Well done to everyone that took part. Well done also, to your parents for coping with your muddy clothes!

The Chieshire Hike is an annual event for scouts and explorer scouts and is a gruelling, two day expedition in the Cheshire countryside. This year saw two of our scouts competing in the Intermediate section.
Felix and Joe set off early on Saturday morning from Bickerton. After unpacking their kit for an inspection and weigh in, they had five minutes to plot the first part of their route before embarking on the first day’s trek. Checkpoints, challenges and observation tasks awaited, before a well-earne overnight stop.
