Well done to our team of scouts who took part in this year’s County Lord Derby Competition at Forest Camp on Saturday 23 April.
Nathan, Courtney, Craig, James, Sandy and Bear had fun in the forest, tackling challenges from tent pitching to cooking and even translating in 10 languages! We didn’t qualify for the Regional final this time around, but the scouts had a great time and got to meet others from across the county.

The Lord Derby competition tests scouts’ initiative and scouting skills in a variety of ways. After a county qualification event in March, a team of scouts from Willaston traveled to Bispham Hall Scout Estate on Sunday as one of two teams representing Cheshire in the final of this Regional event.

Congratulations to our Scout team in the recent Lord Derby county eliminator, which took place at Forest Camp near Cuddington a few weeks ago. The team completed a number of challenges based on the Chief Scouts Gold Award Challenge Awards, which tested their initiative, teamwork and leadership. The team performed brilliantly, with each team member taking on the role of Patrol Leader for the different challenges.
