Here’s the story of our scouts’ day out in Liverpool, taking part in the year’s ShelterBox Challenge.

On Sunday 10 May, two teams of scouts from Willaston will take part in this year’s ShelterBox Challenge in Liverpool. They will spend several hours carrying a big green box around the city centre completing challenges and hunting for clues along the way. More importantly, they will raise awareness of ShelterBox, which provides emergency shelter and aid to those affected by disasters around the world.
This is also a great fundraising opportunity and we have asked each of the scouts taking part to find 20 sponsors to give £2 each.

A team of five scouts from Willaston took part in the ShelterBox Scavenger Hunt on Sunday 11 May 2014. Held in Liverpool City Centre, the event raises awareness of ShelterBox, a global disaster response charity that provides emergency accommodation and equipment to help those affected by natural and man-made disasters around the world.
Covering in excess of six miles over the course of four and a half hours, the scouts had to undertake a number of challenges and answer questions (without resorting to Google). Organised by the North West Scout Region, …
